Although you would never and could never forget the brave men and women who fought for this country, some of whom lost their lives so we can go about ours peacefully and securely, you might have missed that the quieter holiday is already here. The fact that Veterans Day 2017 snuck up on you so quickly and quietly might have you wondering is Veterans Day a national holiday?

So, is Veterans Day a national holiday?

Veterans Day is marked on November 11, which falls on a Saturday this year. And, yes, the holiday which honors former and current members of the U.S. military, which used to be known as Armistice Day, is a national holiday. But when is Veterans Day 2017 observed?
