VIDEO: Anthony Weiner fakes an accent at West Indian Day Parade

Democratic mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner faked a West Indian accent at Monday’s West Indian Day Parade, but did not appear to settle on a particular island.

Weiner, riding on his own personal float, starts off by mimicking the sound of gunshots, as commonly heard in Jamaican dance hall music.

After a little emcee work from a supporter on the float, Weiner launches into an apparent poll of the crowd.

“Anybody here from Jamaica?” he hollers, seemingly doing an impression of someone who is in fact from Jamaica.

When he inquires whether anyone present is from Barbados, his New York accent slips in a bit.

“Anybody here from Guyana?” he asks with a generalized Caribbean inflection.

“Anybody here from Staten Island?” he adds, throwing up his hands in a shrug.

In other candidate news, Bill de Blasio’s familydid a choreographed dance at the parade.
