A woman in Bothell, Wash. stole two delivered packages from a stranger’s porch just one week before Christmas, and the surveillance video that caught the act has gone viral.
The video was captured on Dec. 18. It shows two boxes being delivered at separate times. Then, a woman drives up in a blue SUV, walks to the front door and swiftly lifts the boxes. She then carries them to her car and drives away.
Dandy Weyn, the resident of the house, told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that he decided to take a look at surveillance footage when his packages never turned up. He added that there was nothing interesting in the box – just $140 worth of fliers.
When Weyn told his neighbors about the incident, some of them said they also had packages disappear recently. They believe the same woman might be to blame.
“I assumed it was a mix up in the delivery until I started hearing that it was happening to other people,” said neighbor Sandy Madan.
