A United Airlines flight out of Washington D.C. turned around midflight due to a disturbance from a passenger on the plane.
ABC News reports that the manfailed to “comply with crew instructions,” but CNN (citing an unnamed government official) reports that the man “ran toward the cockpit screaming ‘jihad, jihad.'” CNN also reports that “there is nothing, so far, in the man’s background to suggest he has a connection to terrorists.”
The passenger was taken down by several larger passengers and held down till law enforcment arrived.
