A Home Depot worker in Alaska is getting international attention after he caught a baby falling out of a shopping cart, and it was all caught on camera.
The 13-second clip shows Christopher Strickland standing around in the South Anchoragestore when he spots a baby about to fall out of a wobbly car seat that was balanced atop a shopping cart. He quickly swoops in and catches the infant.
“I thought I’d keep an eye on it, in case something happened,” the 19-year-old told the Anchorage Daily News.
It is not clear who posted the surveillance footage online, but Strickland is now being hailed a hero, and the Home Depot where he works has been fielding calls from reporters around the world.
