A homeless shelter in California was “pranked” recently when its dining room was transformed into a five-star restaurant.
Just in time for April Fool’s Day, comedian Greg Benson teamed up with Break.com and their #PrankItFwd campaign to surprise 50 people at Ascencia Homeless Shelter in Glendale, Calif., with a steak dinner.
Chef Jessie Brune and his team prepared filet mignon and other dishes that are not usually served at a homeless shelter.
“Was that filet mignon? I’ve never had it before,” one woman told Benson.
Each of the homeless individuals received a gift bag at the end of the meal, and the pranksters also donated $5,000 to the shelter.
For every 1,000 views on this video or any of other #PrankItFwd video, Break.com will donate $1 to DoSomething.org.
