Pretty much the only problem with superhero movies is that the superheroes rarely burst into song. Likewise, my only complaint against “Les Miserables” is the dearth of superpowered mutants. It’s amazing that no one grasped the obvious solution long ago.

No, not “Spiderman: The Musical.” Obviously the reason that infamous Broadway debacle flopped is that it starred the wrong Marvel hero. Behold: “Wolverine: The Musical.” OK, it’s not a real musical – just “X-Men: Days of Future Past” star Hugh Jackman belting out “Who Am I” with lyrics about claws and giving up candy to achieve that Wolverine body. Still, it’s pretty endearing. Looks like Jackman’s given up vocal training for weight training, though — he can’t hit that Jean Valjean high note anymore.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” doesn’t come out in theatres until May 24, so there’s still time for a Broadway team to write the whole score. I would pay big money to watch Wolverine sing “Castle on a Cloud.”
