RadioShack has seemed like a bit of a throwback for years now. How often do most of us need to go to an electronics retailer? So the news that the company had declared bankruptcy, sending half its stores to Sprint and closing the remaining half, wasn’t totally surprising. But John Oliver took us all to task for treating the demise of the 94-year-old company so flippantly, and used his “Last Week Tonight” broadcast to come up with a very fitting sendoff for them.
