VIDEO: Trailer for first TV show to feature a trans actress as lead

The wave of trans visibility continues on with the debut of a trailer for a show featuring the first trans actress in a lead role.

BBC2’s ‘Boy Meets Girl’ will feature trans actress Rebecca Root as Judy, a transwoman who begins a relationship with a young man.

The will probably make you cry with joy. Why tears of joy? Well in the brief trailer we get a touching scene with whom is presumably Judy’s mother being asked she misses having a son.

“I never had a son. I had a daughter who came out a bit wrong.”

Stahp. Too sweet.
