The U.S. Women's National Team started their day with a historic ticker-tape parade up Broadway and ended it strutting down the runway set up at Met Life Stadium with Taylor Swift and Heidi Klum.

Swift surprised fans with the flag-waving soccer queens while performing her hit "Style."

The light-up, stage-controlled wristbands that every fan wore Friday night had already raised the show to special event status as they synched with her setlist, heavy with selections from her mega-selling album, 1989.

When Klum, the timeless super model, started catwalking the runway that extended off the main stage into the center of the stadium during "Style," the screams from the 60,000 fans were already deafening.

And then, in what can only be described as a surreal moment, Swift was suddenly marching alongside the World Cup champs -- with the cup.

"How does it feel to have them home?" she asked.

At one point, Swift thrust the World Cup high above her head.

And then, like Frodo in Lord of the Rings, she felt the shiny trophy's power.

"I wanna hold it one more time," the 25-year-old singer said as chants of "USA! USA! USA! spontaneously broke out.

Swift performs again Saturday night at Met Life. We can't imagine how she could possibly do better than Friday.
