VIDEO: Seal avoids being eaten by great white shark

Researchers working at theMassachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries have released footage of a white shark nearly snatching a seal out of the air.

The video shows a seal launching itself out of water followed by a shark trying to eat it. The shark misses the seal by inches. The footaghe was capturedoff the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

We’re not sure exactly what happened when both animals returned underwater, but we’re hoping the seal was able to avoid being eaten.
