If you haven’t heard of Laith Ashley yet, it’s time to get to know him. The transgender model is making waves on the Internet with his 28,000Instagram followers falling over each other to gawk at his pictures.
“I'm 26 years old. My birthday is July 6. I started testosterone for my medical transition on Jan. 22. 2014. Today is Oct. 21, 2015, so that will make me a year and nine months on testosterone,” Ashley explained in a YouTube video “I had top surgery with Dr. Daniel Medlie in Cleveland, Ohio on Sept. 18, 2015, so that would make me a year and month post-op.”
Ashley is an aspiring model who works as an insurance navigator at Callen Lorde Community Health Center and also works with LGBT youth.
What about that ripped body?
"A lot of people who aren't too educated on the subject say 'Oh, he's juicing on a bunch of testosterone of course he's gonna have that body.' But there are a lot of people that are on hormone replacement therapy that aren't huge and muscular. There are a lot of trans guys that aren't big or aren't even looking to get big." Ashley explained.
"I had a six pack before I started T, I had broad shoulders before I started T, it just so happens to be the case. Not everyone's body is the same, not everyone's transition is the same," he added.
