Portland man steals ice cream by threatening store with fake pipe: cops

Police in Oregon arrested a man for allegedly using a fake pipe bomb to steal ice cream from a Portland convenience store.

The would be bomber, Theodore Clifton Compton “is charged with one count each of second-degree robbery and unlawful possession of a hoax destructive device,” KOIN 6 reported.

According to police, Compton entered the store Wednesday evening and threatened employees with the fake pipe bomb. He then proceeded to steal beer and ice cream, police saids

There were no injuries and Compton is now in custody waiting to be arraigned.
