Good lord: After the very uncomfortable, very messy, very messed up ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ situation, it’s starting to look like Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson are dating. I mean, either for real, or just for the attention. Either way: Ugh.
The maybe couple were spotted holding hands in Disneyland last week. And now, Jackson has spoken out on their friendship — and he’s saying a whole lot of nothing. When asked about speculation about his and Olympios’ relationship, he said:
“Here’s the thing. In the media — the media wanted black versus white. They wanted angry black guy, they wanted this little white girl. But in reality, both of us were put against each other. It was one of those things that people want us not to be friends. They want to paint a particular narrative. Even now the narrative is they’re friends now. It’s like, ‘Oh, it’s fake.’ “It’s always you’re damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t.”
OK, but are y’all together or nah?
“I’m not trying to date or do anything. My life is too crazy. I would be doing an injustice to any woman bringing her into his wildfire of a life that I live. The only person I’m dating is my career.”
I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see. Or get bored, forget about it, and only be reminded when they announce their relationship on the cover of People, or something. Whichever.
