Warrant issued in murder case

A year after the gruesome murder of a father of two in his southwest Calgary home, police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a second suspect in his death.

Homicide Staff Sgt. Rick Tuza said the murder was horrific enough to warrant first-degree murder charges, though police believe robbery was the motive in the death of Daniel Jacob Levesque in his home on June 28, 2008.

“It was a brutal murder and investigators described the crime scene as … disturbing,” Tuza said.

Police have already charged Sheldon Worme with first-degree murder and also charged a woman with being an accessory after the fact in connection with Levesque’s death.

Investigators believe Aaron Lee Stevens may be in Edmonton, Lethbridge or possibly B.C.
