WATCH: Jimmy Fallon makes emotional vow to march with Parkland survivors

Jimmy Fallon

It’s been almost two weeks since the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and the wound is still fresh for the families of the 17 victims as well as the survivors. Classes will reportedly resume for students on Wednesday — and Monday night, on his first full show since the mass shooting, Jimmy Fallon had a message to send these teens as they fight for gun reform: “we are with you.”

“I want to say our hearts go out to the families of the teachers and students that were killed, and our hearts also go out to the students who survived because what they had to live through and what they have to live with is something I can’t even imagine,” Fallon began.

“And I think what the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School are doing is unbelievable,” he continued. “They’re speaking out with more guts, passion, conviction and common sense than most adults.”

Fallon said he, along with his wife and two kids, vows to march with them in Washington, D.C. at March For Our Lives next month.

March For Our Lives

March For Our Lives is a peaceful protest on March 24 in Washington, D.C. calling for an end to gun violence.

Organized by Parkland survivors, it has turned into a global cause. Marches are set to take place on that day across the nation and overseas in locations such as London, France and Belgium. You can access information about these marches on the March For Our Lives Facebook page, or find one happening near you on the website’s events page.

You can also show your support by donating to March For Our Lives. The leftover funds will be given to victims of the Parkland shooting.

Their mission statement is simple: “Not one more.” Never again.
