Barb Higgins laid out her plan to reform city hall at an Olympic Plaza rally yesterday.
“We have to sort out how we are spending our money, “ she said.
Introduced by former Breakfast Television host Dave Kelly and singer Jann Arden, Higgins offered blue cotton candy to spectators while she outlined what she has planned should she become mayor of Calgary. Aside from city hall reform, Higgins said she wanted to change public transit and reduce wait times for construction permits.
“I think it’s obvious what Calgary needs right now,” Higgins said.
She added she would use her critical journalistic eye to keep city auditors in check.
