Families will have a great reason to spend time together at two of the city’s largest leisure centre waterparks.
The City of Calgary is introducing family-only time at the Southland and Village Square leisure centres, with Southland offering it on Sundays and Village Square on Wednesdays.
All adults must be accompanied by children and all children must be accompanied by adults, according to the City of Calgary press release.
The family-only time at the Southland Leisure Centre is on Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon, and the Village Square family only time is on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
According to Tracy Luther, City of Calgary marketing adviser for leisure centres, the centres have had teen and youth time for a couple of years and the suggestion was made to include family time as an option.
“We decided with our renovations to open up that time for just families,” Luther said.
The family time hours are effective immediately.
