Wednesday gossip roundup: ‘Lost’ feud as Dominic Monaghan says Matthew Fox beats women

There seems to be no love lost between former “Lost” co-stars Dominic Monaghan and Matthew Fox. When asked by a fan about Fox, who was arrested for driving under the influence earlier this month and was sued for assaulting a bus driver last year, Monaghan bluntly responded, “He beats women. Not isolated incidents. Often.” When another fan pointed out that Monaghan was making quite a strong accusation, he responded, “An accusation is when you ‘claim’ someone did something wrong. I know.”

When Britney Spears was initially approached for her new gig as a judge on “the X Factor,” she reportedly had one specific demand: that she make more than Jennifer Lopez did for her first season as a judge on “American Idol,” according to Hollyscoop. Spears’ first salary demand was $20 million, sources say, while Lopez earned $12 million for when she joined “Idol.” Whether or not besting Lopez was a motivation for Spears, that’s what she got, as Spears ended up agreeing to a $15 million payday. A source connected to “the X Factor” insists the story isn’t true.

Paris Hilton is reportedly single again, having been dumped by her boyfriend of around six months, DJ AfroJack, according to Radar Online. “Afrojack had moved into Paris’ Beverly Hills mansion earlier this year, and the two got very serious, very fast,” a source says of the DJ, who also reportedly helped Hilton with her upcoming album. “Paris was smitten with him, but Afrojack just wanted to have fun and not be exclusive with anyone. He is on the road practically every day performing in clubs all over the world, and he just isn’t ready to settle down, whereas Paris is.”

Prince William is weighing whether or not to take on another tour with the Royal Air Force or stay and both Catherine and I are looking forward to having a family in the future.” Meanwhile, William’s younger brother, Harry, admits he’s had his mind on settling down for quite a while. “I’ve longed for kids since I was very, very young,” Harry tells Couric. “And so I’m just waiting to find the right person, someone who’s willing to take on the job.”

Blake Lively is getting ready to say goodbye to “Gossip Girl,” the show that made her a star. “I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like I’m a senior and I can’t wait for the next thing,” she tells Bullett magazine. “As an actor who plays a caricature of myself on the show, I don’t think I’d say, ‘Watch Gossip Girl for my best quality of work.’ But I am very lucky to have had that experience.” But shouldn’t Lively be worried about how her coworkers might take her remarks, especially with work starting on the show’s final season this summer? I’m not in the business of trying to win the approval of my cast members, my director or my audience,” she insists.

Charlize Theron has been adjusting to parenting in a lot of ways, but that doesn’t mean she’s toned down her notoriously foul language. “A lot of people have sent me these children’s books, and there’s this amazing book, a best-seller called ‘Go the F— to Sleep,'” Theron tells MTV News. “This book was good for me because it made me realize that I don’t need to judge myself right now.” One thing she has gotten the hang of, though, is changing diapers. “I love it! I’ve got to tell you, I’m available for other babies’ diapers to be changed. I can do it in my sleep now,” Theron says. “I’m so good.”
