Weekend marred by multiple murders

A 29-year-old man was shot to death in Chelsea early Sunday morning, marking the third slaying in the region in two days.

The Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said police are investigating a fatal shooting at a Chester Avenue home, located near Shawmut Street. The incident occurred just after 3 a.m.

Police found two men shot on the scene. One man, a 29-year-old, died from his injuries. The second victim, a 34-year-old, was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. The identities of both men were not released by State Police.

The incident is being investigated by police and no arrests had been announced by press time.

Chelsea Police and the Suffolk DA urged anyone with information regarding to call Chelsea detectives at 617-466-4843 or leave an anonymous tip at 617-466-4880.

The latest killing followed the Friday night fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Boston man in Randolph. Police found Jameil Williams around 11:30 p.m.; he was taken to a Brockton hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Earlier that same evening, Sean Dwyer, 29, of South Boston was found bleeding from stab wounds about 50-feet away from his Adams Street barber shop in Dorchester. Police pronounced him dead at the scene around 6:20 p.m.

Dwyer was found in the road by an MBTA bus driver.
