Wellspring’s new support service centre sits on the Bow River in the community of Montgomery.
Wellspring has been providing free emotional, spiritual and psychological support for people diagnosed with cancer and their families. Now they can accommodate more people and programs in their new space.
“It’s a happy place you come to paint, cook, and take dance classes or
whatever it is in yourself that will let you maybe not forget about
cancer ,but maybe move beyond it,” said two-time cancer survivor and
Wellspring founder Rita Egesii.
The first bricks on this $2-million house were laid last spring, and and was completed by hundreds of volunteers.
