What did Trump say at the UN? Don’t pretend like you don’t know, North Korea

Trump at UN

President Trump at the United Nations on Tuesday warned North Korea to stop with the shenanigans.

Addressing a room full of foreign leaders, with North Korean diplomats seated in the front row, Trump addressed the rogue nation specifically, and its reputation of human rights violations.

“No one has shown more contempt… than the depraved regime in North Korea,” Trump said, going on to refer to the rogue nation’s leader Kim Jong-Un as “Rocket Man.”

He also warned that the U.S. would have no problem “totally destroying” North Korea if it didn’t get its act together.

It was Trump’s first address to the UN General Assembly. His harsh words came as no surprise. The United States and North Korea have had escalating tensions in recent months.

Here are a few highlights from Trump’s UN speech:

“Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself, and for his regime….The U.S. is ready, willing and able.”

“The United States and our allies are working together to crush the loser terrorists.”

“Rogue regimes not only support terrorists but threaten other nations with the most destructive weapon known to humanity.”

“The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented.”

“Strong sovereign nations let their people take ownership of their future, and control their own destiny.”

“America does not impose its way of life on anyone.”

“If we are to embrace the opportunity of the future…together there can be no substitute for strong, soveriergn, independent nations”

“In America the people govern, the people rule and the people are sovereign. I was elected not to take power but to give power to the American people, where it belongs.”

“We want harmony and friendship, not conflict and strife.”
