Traffic is beginning to slow down right now in the Metro area, with a jam up slowing things down to under 30 miles per hour along the length of Route 93 south, according to real-time Massachusetts Department of Transportation traffic reports.
Jam ups expected along the Massachusetts Turnpike did not materialize Monday morning, despite predictions by MassDOTofficials, WCVB reported. The morning commute was the first to feel the full impact of the state’s switch to all-electronic tolling. Construction crews are working to demolish 26 toll plazas along the length of the highway, which is expected to cause some congestion.
