It’s not a bad idea to grab an umbrella andslip on your galoshes on your way out of the office this afternoon, as the National Weather Service is predicting showers around the Boston area.

After several delays due to signal problems on both the Green Line and Red Line this morning, all T lines are on time and in service as of 4 p.m. Thursday.

A few slowdowns were reported on the Providence-Stoughton commuter rail, but otherwise tracks were clear for those traveling outside greater Boston as well.

So far gray skies are mostly keeping the precipitation at bay, but you don’t want to get caught in rain waiting for your bus. Many Boston-area buses are experiencing delays due to rush-hour traffic today. Better to be prepared!
