NBA training camps are underway and Midnight Madness is right around the corner. Here’s a look at when the 2016-17 NBA and college basketball seasons begin.
On Tuesday, Oct. 25, the NBA regular season will kick off with a TNT double-header. The Knicks will take on the defending champion Cavaliers in Cleveland, with the game set to tip-off at 8 p.m.. TNT will broadcast the game live and it will also broadcast the Spurs at Warriors that same night, starting at 10:30 p.m.. There will be plenty of intrigue in that one as Kevin Durant makes his Golden State debut.
Most every other team in the NBA will start its season on Wednesday, Oct. 26. For that night’s schedule, click here.
The 2016-17 college basketball season will start on Friday, Nov. 11 with a slate of games but ESPN’s annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon won’t begin until Monday, Nov. 14. Click here for the Nov. 11 games and click here for the ESPN TV Marathon schedule.
