Where to find all the free doughnuts for National Donut Day

It’s not just the big chains giving it away onNational Donut Day.

This morning beginning at 9:30 a.m., Brooklyn newcomer The Tuscan Gun coffee shop (from “Extra Virgin” host Gabriele Corcos and actress Debi Mazar) is giving away free Lavazza coffee and housemade Chocolate-Coffee doughnuts until 12:30 p.m.

Dun-Well Doughnuts is offering a free doughnut with purchase of any espresso drinks. They just rolled out a bunch of new flavors, including New-Tella, Almond Joy, White Chocolate and Salted Caramel.

Entenmann’s is reminding people of National Donut Day’s link to the Salvation Army with costumed and uniformed representatives giving away 40,000 Frosted Sprinkled Patriotic Donuts (and coffees!) in Madison Square Park today until 1 p.m., or while supplies last. They’re also holding an online contest for year’s supply of doughnuts to 100 people through its website. Each entry is also a $1 by the company to the Salvation Army.

Okay, so these aren’t free now, but if you buy a half dozen or more doughnuts at any Dough location, you’ll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a year’s supply of free sweet yeasty goodness.

Combine two of your favorite things: J.Crew is giving away free doughnuts from 10 a.m. to shoppers and offering 40 percent off sale styles. The doughnuts only last until noon, but the sale goes on all day.

The Staten Island Advance rounded up some free deals in its borough, which include Cake Chef, Piece A Cake, Holtermann’s Bakery and Not Just Bagels.

Dunkin’ Donuts is offering any doughnut free with the purchase of a beverage – if you can handle your sugar, today might be the time to try one of their new Oreo or Chips Ahoy! iced coffees.

We hear Krispy Kreme serves flavors other than their original glazed, but why mess with perfection? If you must though, they’re all free today.

Tim Horton’s is giving away one doughnut per person today, but with a couple strings attached: You must buy something else, and have this coupon on hand. Make the office printer work for its Summer Friday.
