In the city that never sleeps, eating goes beyond normal meal times: Late night to early morning eating is expected, and thankfully, you’ve got plenty of options.

West Village pizza and wine bar Olio e Piu (3 Greenwich Ave., 212-243-6546) recently went 24/7. Besides serving Neapolitan style pizzas around the clock, there’s a breakfast and brunch menu from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jay Z’s 40/40 Club (6 W. 25th St., 212-832-4040) offers full-on dinner until 4 a.m. Lobster-crab cakes, truffled angel hair pasta with colossal shrimp, braised beef short ribs with whipped potatoes and, for dessert, sweet potato doughnuts hit the spot. Private dining rooms are available, in case Jay suddenly decides to join your crew.

Renowned West Village gastro pub The Spotted Pig (314 W. 11th St., 212-620-0393) serves dinner until 2 a.m. Late-night favorites include sheep’s milk ricotta gnudi with pesto and, of course, that great late-night hunger-queller, the burger. Theirs oozes Roquefort.

In Williamsburg, enjoy late night grub with a Southeast Asian twist at Fatty ’Cue (91 S. Sixth St., Brooklyn, 718-599-3090). Served Thursday-Saturday from midnight until 2 a.m., the late night menu includes satisfying dishes like fermented pork riblets, noodle bowls and, more unusually but great for a dip ‘n’ share, smoked catfish nam prik.

MP Taverna in Astoria (31-29 Ditmars Blvd., Queens, 718-777-2187) has a late-night happy hour featuring dollar oysters and beef sliders from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. on weekdays, and until 2 a.m. on weekends. The kitchen also offers Greek comfort food such as souvlaki and grandma’s Greek meatballs until the wee hours.

If you really need to sop up all those beers, hit SLIDE (174 Bleecker St., 212-777-9077), which has mini burgers, bacon-fat fries topped with chili salt and shaved dark chocolate, bacon-wrapped pork belly crostini and spiked ice cream shakes. SLIDE is open until 1 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.

This $18 mix of short rib, chuck, prime age ribeye, ribeye fat and smoked bacon that’s ground in-house is only available Sunday through Thursday after 9 p.m, and only two dozen are made each night. Not special enough for ya? It comes with a side of bacon and blue-cheese fries.
