Hilary Duff’s Los Angeles home was robbed, with hundreds of thousands worth of dollars stolen, and I’m wondering which one of y’all did it? Was it you, Aaron Carter? Making off with a decades long grudge from that time you were both teeny boppers and dated?
TMZ reports that someone broke into the “Younger” star’s home on Wednesday, July 19 while Duff, 29, was on vacation. Like, really on vacation. So on vacation that she shared plenty of photos of said vacation on her Instagram — which is likely what tipped Aaron Carter, I mean, the robbers off.
Duff’s rep issued a statement, of course, telling Us Weekly that this is just really scary, man! “This is a scary and upsetting situation for anyone to go through, but Hilary is thankful that her family, her staff, her home and her pets are all safe. That said, she has a significant security team in place that will work with the authorities on this incident and handle security measures moving forward.”
Burglaries are very in this year — it’s basically like “Bling Ring” all over again. Kendall Jenner, Nicki Minaj and Alanis Morissette are among celebrities that have been victimized by the cruel hand of fate, or whatever. By that, I mean, all of their homes have been broken into, with valuables stolen in recent months. Sad!
Celebrities have to get smarter in the digital age, probably. There has to be a way where you can post pictures of what you’re doing, but also throw Aaron Carters, I mean, thieves, off of your trail.
