Killer of Texan sniper star faced life

The ex-marine who killed Chris Kyle, the sniper whose story is told in the hit movie “American Sniper”, was locked up for life after being sentenced. Eddie Ray Routhopened fire on Kyle at a Texas gun range.

Chicago Mayor faced a surprise election run-off

With a campaign fund of about $6m, Obama’s buddy and former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, was expected to win his re-election as Chicago Mayor outright. But after failing to get a majority, he’ll face his runner-up Jesus Garcia in the next round.
