Vancouver’s mayor loves to bet other mayors on the Canucks’ post-season fortunes. The last three years, he has disappointedly mailed off a picnic basket of local treats.
But thanks to the Canucks’ playoff run, Gregor Robertson is living high on the hog (he has already won a ham from Nashville). But he seems to be running short of ideas for the Stanley Cup finals and has taken to Twitter @MayorGregor for suggestions on what to bet Boston Mayor Thomas Menino.
Ideas so far: Having the loser shave his head and — my favourite — wrestling with a bear or swimming with an orca.
