Police are asking for the public’s help to find two vehicles related to a shooting Thursday that left a bystander injured.

The victim, a 57-year-old woman, told police she was walking in the northwest corner of Mermaid Avenue and West 33rd Street when she heard gunshots and felt pain in her cheek. She then discovered she was shot.

After some investigation, police said they discovered a man got out of a blue Chevy Suburban and two other men left a silver Mercedes Benz at the intersection. The two men from the Mercedes then shot the man who exited the Suburban, police said.
