A 71-year-old woman faces first-degree murder after a man’s body — reported to be that of her husband — was discovered inside a faulty incinerator Tuesday afternoon outside of Edmonton.
Anne Semenovich is charged with first degree murder and interfering with human remains in the death of Alex Semenovich, her husband, reported CTV News last night.
Laurie Semenovich, 49, and Brian Semenovich, 22, are also each charged with accessory after the fact and interfering with human remains. Both are the man’s son and grandson.
Stony Plain RCMP Const. Barbara Roy confirmed the three are related, but wouldn’t comment if they are related to the victim.
A medical examiner is expected to begin an autopsy on the man this morning.
All three charged in the case are expected to return to court May 7 for their bail hearing at Stony Plain Provincial Court.
