PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. – A Nova Scotia woman who bought two lottery tickets last week says she got a “funny feeling” when her cousin sent her a text message saying someone in their hometown had won $1 million.
Bethany Nicholson of Port Hawksbury says the feeling wouldn’t go away until she went Thursday to a corner store, where the clerk told her she had won the Atlantic 49 draw held last Wednesday.
The 23-year-old community college student says she plans to buy a house and a pink car.
She says she also plans to use the money to complete her education and start a career as a counsellor.
