Woman tweets photo of racist ‘chinky eyes’ receipt

We’ve heard about fast food joints using identifier stickers with words like “Asian” to mark a customer’s order. That may or may not have been an accident, but make no mistake — this latest fast food racial incident was certainly no accident.

Minhee Cho, a communications manager in NYC, tweeted a photo this weekend of a recent receipt from Papa John’s pizza. The name used on the receipt to identify Cho? “Lady chinky eyes.” Seriously.

“Hey @PapaJohns just FYI my name isn’t “lady chinky eyes,”‘ Cho tweeted along with a twitpic of the receipt.

The 16-year-old cashier who issued the receipt has been fired. Papa John’s, meanwhile, has been on a social media blitz, tweeting and Facebooking apologies out the wazoo.

“We have formally apologized and are reaching out to customer personally. Also, can confirm franchise employee has been terminated,” the company tweeted.

A store manager named Jerome, inadvertently canceling out the company’s apology, told The Post, “It’s a busy place, and it was a way to identify her and her order. You know, we do stuff like that sometimes. We’ll write ‘the lady with the blue eyes’ or ‘the guy in the green shirt.'”

He added, “I think the lady put it out there just to get some attention — some people like that type of attention. I truly don’t think it’s fair. It’s been taking up all our time. It’s been very disruptive.”
