Woods enjoys practice round, feeling no pain

Tiger Woods is still searching for a full-time caddie. But the good news is that Woods is finally pain-free.

“I don’t feel a thing. [My left leg] feels solid, it feels stable, no pain,” Woods told reporters yesterday.

Woods will return to golf this week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, his first event in three months. Woods said he felt good during nine practice holes.

“I still haven’t been in a competitive environment yet, so that’s a totally different atmosphere,” he said.

Woods fired longtime caddie Steve Williams last week. For this week’s tournament, he is using childhood friend Bryon Bell. Woods has no timetable for naming a permanent replacement.

“I’m trying to play this week with [Bryon], and hopefully next week as well, and maybe get myself in the [FedEx Cup] playoffs,” Woods said.
