Edmontonians out enjoying the sun with their families yesterday got to share the weather with some new furry friends at the third annual Valley Zoo Summer Celebration.
Starting at noon, the summer celebration is a yearly event that the zoo uses to welcome the new baby animals into the family, and celebrates the year with games for kids, a talk about “Who’s new to the zoo”, craftmaking, and beyblading at the YTV Weird on Wheels booth.
Events co-ordinator for the Valley Zoo, Tyler Pollock, says that the event is always successful and brings out thousands of people every year.
“It’s all about having fun and learning,” said Pollock. “It’s going back to when we were in elementary (school), you were having fun when you were learning.”
