A pricey luncheon for Donald Trump supporters in Boston has been canceled.
The Republican presumptive nominee had planned to host afundraiser at the LanghamHotel in the Financial District aroundnoon,but nixed the plans following the mass shooting in Orlando that left 49 dead and dozens more injured. Tickets were $2,700 per person, $10,000 for access plus a photo and $25,000 to be declared a “host.” His campaign also canceled a rally in New Hampshire, and nowplans instead to give one speech Monday in Manchester at 2:30, which will focus on the attack in Florida.

Yesterday Trump’s campaign responded to the massacre by releasing a lengthy statement — a critique of”politically correct” languagethatcalled onPresident Barack Obama to resign and his rival Hillary Clinton to drop out of the race. A protest of the luncheon organized by the local group Boston for Bernie has alsobeen called off.
