The Patriots are now extremely deep at the linebacker position as former Bears LB Jonathan Bostic will join the New England corps.

The Pats gave up a sixth-round draft pick in a trade with the Bears, according to ESPN reports.

The 6-foot-1, 245-pound Bostic was Chicago’s leading tackler last season. An ESPN report said he “fell out of favor” with new Bears head coach John Fox, however. The Bears also traded away pass-rusher Jared Allen to the Panthers this week.

Bostic is said to have great athleticism and is just 24-years-old. He was a second round pick of the Bears in 2013 out of the University of Florida.
