The Rose Kennedy Greenway announced its new mobile food lineup for the spring season — including 10 brand new vendors to the 'hood — with a grand total of 34 trucks and trikes parking in 2016. Among the newbies:
Middle Eastern fare from Chik Chak
Cupcakes (obviously) from Cupcake City
Korean fusion from Gogi on the Block
Savory Jamaican treats from Jamaica Me Hungry
"Elevated street food" from Munch Mobile
Baked goodies from Quebrada
Hand pies by Roving Lunch Box
Iraqi and Middle Eastern cuisine from Sheherezad
Super conscious burgers from Walden Meat Co.
And last, but not least: Buttermilk chicken sandwiches and fries from Walloon's Fried Chicken
Jesse Brackenbury, Executive Director of the Greenway Conservancy, says in a statement regarding the seventh season: “The tremendous variety of fresh, distinctive, and locally-sourced food items available at reasonable prices makes Mobile Eats a popular reason to visit The Greenway... and to keep coming back. We are proud to support the local food entrepreneurs as we welcome them back to The Greenway for another delicious season.”
The new program kicks off April 23rd with a food truck festival featuring the vendors between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Greenway between Milk and India.
