Man arrested for taking upskirt photos on MBTA bus

Police have arrested a man accused of taking secret photos of women on Boston-area public transit as well as possessing child pornography on his phone.

At around 11 a.m. on Friday, authorities received a call from Sullivan Square reporting a man who was secretly photographing up a woman’s skirt while aboard the Route 109 bus, MBTA transit police reported. When they arrived, officers were met by the victim and witnesses.

Subsequent to an investigation and interview with the suspect, identified as 51-year-old Mark Barry of Everett, transit police detectives discovered that Barry’s cellphone contained multiple upskirt photos of women on trains and buses, authorities stated. His phone also allegedly contained child pornography.

Barry was arrested on Friday on charges of possession of child pornography and secret videotaping. Hewas held on $100,000 bond and was scheduled to be back in court on Aug. 31, CBS Boston reported.

In 2013, Barry was convicted of photographing up a child’s skirt on public transportation, WHDH stated.
