Massachusetts voters might have said yes to pot a couple weeks back, but the NFL still isn’t cool with the weed. Patriots defensive tackle Alan Branch was suspended by the league for four games Monday for violating the NFL’s drug policy. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the drug was marijuana and that Branch is appealing the suspension.

Branch has had a strong season for the Pats so far as he’s recorded 33 tackles and a sack.

Same old Jets

The Patriots will now turn their focus to the Jets, a team they’ll meet for the first time this season on Sunday at the Meadowlands (4:25 p.m., CBS).

New York has disappointed this year after a promising first year under head coach Todd Bowles last season. The Jets upset the Pats at MetLife Stadium, 26-20, last December with Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing for 296 yards and three touchdowns.

Fitzpatrick, who will start for the Jets Sunday, has had a brutal 2016 so far as he’s thrown a whopping 13 interceptions in just nine games.
