A Boston Police frisk led officers to seize a loaded firearm from a Jamaica Plain teenager Saturday night.

Officers patrolling near the Bromley-Heath housing development after several incidents of gun violence and gang activity spotted a group of young men in a “no trespassing area” in a building, police said.

Police found the weapon, a .32 caliber revolver, in the waistband of 18-year-old Fray Silvestre of Dorchester, according to a release.

Silvestre was set to appear in Roxbury District Court on weapons charges, police said.
