Massachusetts State Police said that shots were fired during an operation just before 5 p.m. Tuesday near 20 Newburg St. in Roslindale.
Massachussetts State and Boston City police were conducting a joint operation involving illegal weapons at the time,Fox 25 news reported. No injuries were immediately reported, per the Boston Globe.
Boston Police said one person was in custody after the incident, according to WBZ, though another suspect remains at large.

A Needham line MBTA commuter rail is stopped at Roslindale Village due to the ongoing situation nearby, MBTA said, but service has resumed. MBTA tweeted to expect residual delays. We’ll update this story with more details as they become available.
