An offer of help to clear snow turned violent Saturday in Brockton when a group of teenagers allegedly attacked a local man when he refused help with shovelling.
The man told police he was outside working to clear his driveway of snow just before 3 p.m., when a group of 10 to 15 teens approached him and offered their help. When he refused, they allegedly jumped him and attacked him with a piece of wood, the Brockton Enterprise reported. The victim declined medical treatment.
The assailants, described only as a group of teenagers, fled toward the intersection of Prospect Street and North Warren Avenue.
The teenagers had not been identified by police as of Sunday afternoon.
