Ed Sheeran’s face slashed by Princess Beatrice

“Did I tell you about the one time I got cut in the face by a sword-wielding princess?” As outlandish as that intro sounds, it’s one that singer Ed Sheeran can actually use as icebreaker. Billboard shares how the wild incident supposedly went down.

Ed Sheeran was hanging out with James Blunt and Princess Beatrice, seventhin line to succeed Queen Elizabeth II, earlier this month, no big deal. James jokingly asked Princess Beatrice to “knight” him, and she obliged. But either the sword was too heavy or the Princess has no aim because she nicked Ed’s face instead. Several pictures of his war wound have surfaced on Twitter.

One day Ed’s going to tell his grandkids this story and they won’t believe him.
