Following in the footsteps of NBC’s success with their live version of “The Sound of Music,” Fox has announced they’ll be airing “Grease Live” during 2015. No date or cast has been set, but if they follow NBC’s model, expect a mix of talented Broadway stars, TV vampires and ‘American Idol’ winners. Fox says only that it will feature “a young ensemble cast.”

NBC’s efforts were not awarded with a considerable amount of critical acclaim, but the show was a ratings success, as millions of viewers tuned in to check out an adaptation of the Julie Andrews classic (and tweet and Facebook everything they felt while watching it).

As long as Laura Benanti’s in it, we’ll sign up.
