We can't seem to wrap our minds around the fact that Donald Glover will be featured in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. If we rewind about six years, the 2010 internet campaign #donald4spiderman has finally paid off....well six years later. Then again, good thing this was six years ago because now people would associate Donald as Donald Trump, and who knows what kind of spidey powers he would possess.

Andrew Garfield rolled in great success with his role as the "Amazing Spiderman," but when Garfield was merely just a candidate for the role, a fan by the name of "Rootadoo" commented on Marc Bernadin's story for i09 on the white casting process with a proposition. The anonymous Rootadoo volunteered Donald Glover as the perfect actor to play Spider-Man.

When the idea hit the Twitterverse, it turned into a movement. Donald Glover, himself got involved and highlighted the root of the issue in his comedy stand-up special "Weirdo" in 2012.

But, the madness didn't stop there. In 2011, Glover launched his rap career and created the stage name "Childish Gambino," which could also totally be a rad name for Spiderman's next arch nemesis.

Glover went on to release his first EP that same year, where we stumbled upon the song "Not Going Back." Check out some of these fiery lyrics, "Couldn't see me as Spider-Man, but now I'm spittin' venom. Now, you payin' attention, pick your f–––n face up. When I wanna be a superhero I just wake up." Spicy!

It's safe to say that Glover does NOT take rejection well. Well 2017 is looking up for you Mr. Glover, you may not be Spiderman, but you will be standing really close.
