We’re just going to go ahead and say it — Kanye West’s New York shows are officially cursed.
First, the 39-year-old rapper was forced to cancel his surprise show at Webster Hall back in June, after more than 2,000 people flooded the streets in anticipation. Then, the several models at his New York Fashion Week show fainted after the three-hour delay. Now, the Yeezy curse has hit again: about thirty minutes into his set at The Meadows, a two-day music festival in Queens, West stopped the show following news of a “family emergency.”

Just as West began performing his song “Heartless,” he cut the music and apologized to the crowd. “I’m sorry, I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show,” he told concertgoers before leaving the stage. Several minutes after, some of the concert organizers announced that West was “no longer on site.” With that, the festival came to an abrupt end, forcing the crowd to leave twenty minutes earlier than anticipated.
