Kate Winslet, who is married to the ridiculous-named Ned RocknRoll, has confirmed she is pregnant with baby Rocknroll. “Kate and Ned are delighted” over the news, her rep told the Sun.
“Kate and Ned have been talking about having babies since they met. Ned has always wanted kids and has been amazing with Kate’s. They are very family people,” a friend told the newspaper.
This will be Kate’s third child (she has two previous children by her two previous husbands: Mia, 12, is the daughter of director Jim Threapleton, and Joe, 9, is the son of director Sam Mendes.)
Kate says the period between her marriage to Sam Mendes — which ended in 2010 — and her December wedding to Ned has been a great period of self-discovery. “I’ve really learned a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “I think I can see more clearly now — about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the character I have played — and I’m grateful for that. I gave so much more material to draw on for work — rubble, bricks — and I know I can carry it now.”
So many questions about this pregnancy. When the fetus moves, does Kate quip: “Boy, this baby certainly is rocking and rolling!” Will the baby have the last name Rocknroll? If so, should its first name be “Iwanna”? Really, people, I could go on allll day with this.
