Madonna dubs Kanye West ‘the black Madonna,’ because obviously

Madonna, iconoclast pop star taken to over-the-top proclamations, has found an heir apparent in Kanye West, iconoclast hip-hop star taken to over-the-top proclamations. And you know what? She maybe kind of has a point. “Kanye is the new Madonna. Kanye is the black Madonna,” she tells the Daily News, slipping into some delicious third person speech. “We know, and recognize, that we have that in common. We’re comrades in the envelope-pushing genre.”

And hey, they’re both bastions of humility, right?
